Established

This is for my little sister, Molly.  I hope I got the colors right and it matches her apartment.  Love you, Mollo!

I'd love to make one for you!  Or if you know someone who is getting married this could be the perfect wedding gift!

If you don't like the "established" wording it could also say "The _____ Family" or you could put the first names of each family member across the bottom instead.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Campers!

Notice anything different?  This painting isn't canvas - it's wood.  A friend of mine from MOPS ordered this for her inlaws.  They own an RV and she wanted a sign that they could hang as a yard sign outside the door.  She asked me to paint a piece of wood and she is going to put a weatherproof sealer on it and get it ready to hang.  I hope this sign will add a pop of color outside the RV and that the Mitchells will enjoy it for a long time!

Hair Bow Holder

Are there any little girls on your Christmas shopping list that you're still trying to buy for?

How about a custom hair bow holder?  This one is 8"x10" and ready to be customized with a name or initial.  It has ribbons that you can clip bows onto.

If this one isn't the right size or color I can certainly make one the way you like it!

Christmas Subway Art

Our friend, Rhonda, brought us dinner one night last month.  When she came by to drop off the food she saw this canvas that I was working on for Rebecca.  She told me she'd found some art on Pinterest recently and asked if I would take a look to see if I could paint something similar.  "Sure," I said!

Well, Rhonda put me up to a challenge!  She had found a cute print of red and white subway art with Christmas phrases on it.  I'd never done a painting with this much text before and certainly not with this many different fonts!  But I was excited to give it a shot, so we worked out the details and I got started.

Many, many coats of paint later and this was the end result!  I was stretched to come up with new fonts that I could paint (I freehand it all - no tracing!), but I love the end result and was proud to have taught myself some new tricks.

Tonight I had the pleasure of delivering the canvas to Rhonda and her husband, Terry.  They were as nice as could be and so pleased with how it turned out!  It will look adorable in their living room with their Christmas decorations.  When I'm not wrangling a 1-year-old or painting, my "real" job is preparing tax returns.  If only my tax clients were as excited about their returns as Rhonda and Terry were about their canvas!  :)  It felt good to bring a smile to someone's face.  Thanks, Rhonda, for the opportunity!
