Christmas is coming!

I know it's not quite Halloween yet, but Christmas is around the corner! I've been painting a lot over the last few months to get ready for a vendor show I'll be selling at on the first Saturday of December. All of the following are for sale. Start thinking about who you need to buy for, and if you have an idea of something you'd like me to create, let me know! I've got several other pieces in the works to share soon.

Merry Mail sign. 10x20. $30 + tax. Here's a cute way to display your Christmas cards! Burlap ribbon bow and 3 burlap ribbons to hang Christmas cards on, approximately 2' each. Clothes pins not included.

Have another idea for a Merry Mail design? I'd love to paint something just for you!

Long Overdue

Hello! I've been gone for ... a while. I took a break from painting for a few months this year, but mostly I've just been too lazy to post. Here are the orders and gifts I've sent out in the last year.

I painted this as a gift for my friend's baby. She wanted rainbow colors in the nursery. I hope this adds a bit of cheer!

I painted this as a gift last Christmas.

A friend ordered this for her monogram wall.

The photos above are of a canvas I painted for a play room. My friend asked for bright colors, her kids' names and a Bible verse. I really enjoyed painting this one!

I painted this just for fun, and when I posted a pic on facebook I sold 2 within a few minutes! This canvas is 11x14 and sells for $20 + tax, but I can recreate this in just about any size.

Another friend ordered this for her daughter's room. This one was also lots of fun to paint, and the colors just pop!

Nautical Nursery

A few months ago I painted these cute owls for my friend's daughter's room. Now she is expecting another baby and asked me to paint these letters for the nursery. I think these turned out even better than I'd hoped for. I hope Baby Ashton and his mommy will like them just as much as I do!

Fall is in the air...somewhere

***See below for a special deal!***

Some of you may be lucky enough to live somewhere that actually feels like fall. Now, Texas has a very special place in my heart, but I'm just tired of the heat and dreaming of fall. So I painted pumpkins.

If I can't wear boots and sweaters at least I can paint pretty autumn colors. Fall is my favorite season. Not only is my birthday in the fall and the holidays are just around the corner, it seems like fall is full of promise. That seems backwards. Spring is supposed to be the season of all-things-new, but for some reason that's how I feel about fall.

Now here's where it gets good. Until the end of October I'm offering these 2 paintings for just $15 each! These are 8"x10" canvases. You can change the colors or the words. If you'd like to order please email creativeatheartart@yahoo.com or send me a message on facebook.

Have a wonderful fall...whether you're bundled up in a jacket or still sweating in shorts!

Nursery Penguins

Aren't these little guys cute?! I had a lot of fun painting them. These penguins are for my friend, Sharon. She's expecting a baby in November and asked me to paint these for her nursery. Sharon and I go waaaaaay back to 6th grade. We used to ride our bikes together at the park and compete to see who got the best grades (she beat me!). We even built a castle out of sugar cubes for a class project once. Good memories! Anyway, thanks for the order, Sharon! I look forward to hearing all about your little one.

All-Star Baby

My mother-in-law ordered this as a gift for some friends who recently had a baby. They have a baseball-themed nursery, and since they already had Austin's name on one wall I thought something other than just his name on the canvas would be nice. I snooped around Molly's Pinterest page and came up with this idea. Congrats, Daniel and Molly!

By the way, Molly is a photographer in the Midland area. If you live around there and need someone to take great pictures of your family (she took some of us last year), you should definitely check her out!

Meng Family Rules

My cousin, Jaclyn, requested a family rules canvas like this one I painted a few months back. She requested a couple changes, most notably the red border. I think it makes it "pop!"

Thanks, Jaclyn, for the order! I hope your family enjoys it for years to come!
